Our partners

Our partners + funders help make Library of Things a reality

Local partners

In every neighbourhood that invites Library of Things to get started, we work with:

• A Commissioning Partner – a council or anchor institution who fund the set-up fees
• A Host Space Partner – a community hub like a library or events space that provides a welcoming home
• A Community Partner – a local organisation to promote & connect Library of Things to what’s already there

Things & storage partners

Our Thing partners – Bosch Power Tools, Kärcher New Venture and STIHL – provide high quality items to Library of Things at zero cost, which helps us keep borrowing affordable. In exchange, Library of Things shares insights about the circular economy in practice (for example, how often their items are borrowed).

Big Yellow Self-Storage West Norwood provides a sponsored unit to Library of Things as part of its scheme to support local community organisations. In exchange, we say thanks via our social media channels.

Core Sponsors & funders

As a social enterprise with a mission lock, Library of Things is funded by a combination of grant funding and impact investment. The support of these organisations has been critical to us developing a borrowing service that works for many.
